Upcoming Festivals in Canton: Summer Fun for Families
On Saturday, August 9, Canton will buzz with excitement as two family-friendly festivals take place.
First, the Summer Safety Fest will be hosted at Crescent Ridge Dairy, just over the Canton/Sharon border. Organized by the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office and the Sharon Police Department, this event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is completely free.
Families can enjoy interactive displays, safety demonstrations, and activities like bouncy houses. Kids will love the Touch-A-Truck feature, where they can get close to police cars, fire trucks, and other emergency vehicles. Plus, there will be free hamburgers and hot dogs, with delicious ice cream from Crescent Ridge available for purchase.
Norfolk Sheriff Patrick McDermott highlighted the importance of this event: “It’s a great chance for people to connect with public safety professionals. We are thankful for our partners at the Sharon Police and Fire departments.”
Later in the day, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Canton Food Truck & Craft Beverage Festival takes place at the Bank of Canton headquarters on Turnpike Street. VIPs can enter early at 11 a.m.
This festival will feature 20 of the best food trucks from around the region and a tasty selection of craft beverages. There will be something for everyone—from street tacos to gourmet desserts. Aside from delectable food, enjoy music, lawn games, a kids’ bubble zone, and a local artisan market.
General admission is $5 if purchased in advance and $10 at the gate. Kids under 10 get in free. Specialty packages with early access and unlimited bottled water are also available online.
Since 2012, Food Truck Festivals of America has hosted over 300 festivals nationwide, celebrating community through food. To learn more and to purchase tickets, check out Food Truck Festivals of America.
