Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to lay the foundation stone of two new campuses of Delhi University (DU) in East and West Delhi and a college named after Veer Savarkar on January 3. University sources gave this info. Savarkar College, authorized by the Executive Council of DU in 2021, will be inbuilt Najafgarh at an estimated price of Rs 140 crore.

Sources mentioned that the college has invited the Prime Minister and affirmation on this regard is awaited from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The proposed japanese campus at Surajmal Vihar will be established at an estimated price of Rs 373 crore, whereas the western campus at Dwarka is estimated to price Rs 107 crore.

The Executive Council had additionally authorized the proposal to identify a college after late BJP chief Sushma Swaraj in 2021.
