The pause marks the end of the Dirt/Colin McRae franchise, which consists of over ten entries. The last game, Dirt 5, came out in 2020. Codemasters explained, “For now, we are pausing development plans on future rally titles.” They acknowledged the long history of their involvement in off-road racing games and thanked fans for their support.
