Strong Showing for East Carolina Track & Field at the Aggie Invitational
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The East Carolina Track & Field team had an impressive performance at the Aggie Invitational, showcasing talent across various events. Athletes achieved personal bests and noteworthy rankings.
On the men’s side, Ja’Darien Parker led the sprints with a time of 10.17 seconds in the 100-meter dash, earning third place. This time places him 19th nationally and second in the conference. For the women, Kelly Ufodiama had a standout performance in the 100 meters, running 11.25 seconds, which ranks her 18th nationally. In the 400 meters, Ciara Douglas achieved a personal best of 54.15 seconds, moving to eighth in the conference.
Kailey Elliott also shone in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal best of 13.03 seconds, ranking her first in the conference and tenth nationally. The women’s relay teams demonstrated strength as well, with the 4×100-meter relay finishing in 44.47 seconds and the 4×400-meter relay at 3:37.57.
In the long jump, Spencer recorded a personal best of 6.03 meters, placing her eighth in the conference. Macy Dulaney excelled in the shot put with a personal best of 14.51 meters, ranking eighth in the conference.
Notably, Navaya Zales finished third in the women’s 1500 meters with a time of 4:40.07, contributing to a successful day for the Pirates.
