Silversea’s Silver Dawn kicked off its 2025 World Cruise, named Controtempo, from Tokyo on January 13. This exciting trip lasts 136 days and visits 59 places across 30 countries.
Guests will arrive in New York on May 29, 2025, after exploring hidden gems in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. The itinerary includes 19 locations that Silversea has never featured before, making it a unique adventure.
Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, stated, “Controtempo will open the world to even the most well-travelled guests like never before, allowing them to journey deeper into four diverse continents.” This journey promises to take travelers off the usual path, providing authentic experiences.
The term “Controtempo” refers to a musical concept meaning off-tempo. This voyage invites travelers to explore the world in a fresh way, discovering less-traveled paths and hidden treasures.
While on board, guests can indulge in the S.A.L.T. culinary program, which highlights local flavors. There are also wellness programs at the Otium spa and special events created just for the cruise.
Some unforgettable experiences include a sunset cruise on the rivers of Hoi An, a dinner beneath the desert dunes of Namibia, and a luxurious meal in the Palace of Versailles. Each event is designed to immerse guests further into the culture of the places they visit.
