Google is adding YouTube Premium Lite individual plan access to paid AI Pro subscribers in select countries at no extra charge. The company said the benefit will be available in the coming days and is worth $8.99 a month. The YouTube Premium individual plan is already included in the AI Ultra subscription.
The company said the YouTube Premium Lite plan lets users watch most YouTube and YouTube Kids videos ad-free, offline and in the background.
Google also said Health Premium and Home Premium are included in AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions at no additional cost.
Separately, Google is changing Gemini app usage limits from daily prompt limits to a “compute-used” model. The new limits will factor in the complexity of a prompt, the features used and the length of the chat.
Google said the change is meant to allocate limits based on workload, since a simple text prompt uses less compute than a complex video or coding prompt. Limits will refresh every five hours until users reach their weekly limit.
If users hit their cap on the largest models, Google said it will move them to smaller models. AI Pro and Ultra subscribers will also be able to buy pay-as-you-go top-up AI credits for Google Antigravity, Google Flow and, coming soon, the Gemini app.
