In a statement, Roth expressed her excitement about the position. She feels “deeply honored” and looks forward to working with the talented team at Tahoe Forest Health. Her priorities include improving access to healthcare, enhancing patient experiences, and building strong partnerships within the community.

Before joining Tahoe Forest Health, Roth spent over 14 years as the CEO of Contra Costa Health. She has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and earned her master’s degrees from the University of California, San Francisco, and Harvard University. Her extensive background in healthcare administration and commitment to community service positions her well to lead the organization.

Michael McGarry, chair of the Tahoe Forest Hospital District board, praised Roth’s experience and dedication to community health, stating it will uplift the organization’s mission to provide excellent care. He expressed enthusiasm for her leadership as they continue serving North Tahoe communities.

Roth’s appointment follows a detailed nationwide search for a suitable successor. She aims to uphold the values of excellence, compassion, and community-focused care that the organization stands for. Roth shares a personal connection to the Tahoe region and looks forward to starting this new chapter with her family in Truckee.

She is set to officially begin her new role on Monday, March 10.
