Exciting New Additions: SCSU Baseball Welcomes Four Fresh Coaches to the Team!

St. Cloud, Minn. – Exciting news for St. Cloud State Baseball! Head coach Pat Dolan has welcomed four new faces to his coaching staff: Ryan Chmielewski, Cole Fuecker, David Kroger, and Derek Shoen. Chmielewski joins as a volunteer assistant coach and graduate assistant in the Kinesiology department, while Kroger, Fuecker, and Shoen step in as assistant coaches.

Coach Dolan expressed his enthusiasm, noting that Kroger is a familiar name. As a former Husky, he brings valuable experience from coaching at St. Cloud Technical & Community College, where he led the Cyclones to four regional championships. The success of Kroger and the effectiveness of the new team members promise a bright future.

Chmielewski, a standout pitcher from Southwest Minnesota State, made quite an impact during his college years. He ranked high in games started, innings pitched, and strikeouts. His achievements also include being part of championship-winning teams in the Northwoods League.

Fuecker is another exciting addition. A Sauk Rapids-Rice graduate, he shone at multiple colleges and made waves in his professional debut with the Sioux Falls Canaries.

Kroger’s previous coaching record is impressive. He led his team to success and even earned multiple Coach of the Year honors during his time. He is no stranger to SCSU, where he helped the Huskies reach the NCAA Central Region Tournament.

Shoen brings a wealth of experience too. With records in home runs and hits during his collegiate career, he’s also had a variety of coaching roles in independent baseball leagues.

Having a mix of successful players and seasoned coaches promises a fresh, competitive energy for St. Cloud State Baseball this season.
