Exciting New Entertainment Center Proposal: Hoover City Council to Vote on Village on Lorna Development!

HOOVER, Ala. – Exciting changes are on the way for a shopping center on Lorna Road in Hoover. The city council will soon vote on a proposal for a brand new entertainment center.

This new center will take the place of Bargain Hunt at the Village on Lorna. Mayor Frank Brocato expressed his enthusiasm, saying it’s a great chance to breathe new life into the older shopping area.

Last week, the planning and zoning commission approved the proposal. The new facility will feature a bowling alley, trampoline area, arcade games, and party rooms. It sounds like a fun place for families and friends to gather!

The developer, Stars Entertainment, also plans to upgrade the parking lot and enhance the landscaping. This is a part of a larger trend in Hoover—just six months ago, Trader Joe’s announced it would be moving into the former Bed Bath & Beyond space on Lorna. That’s a sign of positive growth in the community.

Mayor Brocato views these developments as a testament to Hoover’s potential. “There’s a lot of opportunity here. We’re seeing many new businesses opening up in these older shopping centers, and that’s a wonderful addition to our city,” he said.

The proposal is set to go before the council for a vote next month, and residents are eager to see the outcome.
