Exciting New Family Entertainment Center Coming Soon to The Village on Lorna!

Stars Entertainment wants to open a family fun center at The Village on Lorna shopping center, taking over the space now used by Bargain Hunt.

The new center will cover 54,800 square feet and include 16 bowling lanes, a trampoline area, an arcade, a “gel blaster” room, and several party rooms. There will also be a kitchen for food service.

On January 13, the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the city council approve this project. A public hearing and vote are scheduled for February 17.

Johnny Jones, a company representative, mentioned that they own the Altitude Trampoline Park in Pelham and are also building another family entertainment center in Moody. He believes that the Hoover/Vestavia Hills area is the perfect place for this new center.

The site is located in a C-2 community business zone. Hoover City Planner Mac Martin noted that city officials see no issues with the proposed center, as it’s in a commercial area that shouldn’t disturb nearby neighborhoods.

The center is expected to be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and until midnight on Sunday.

As part of the approval, Stars Entertainment must improve the landscaping in the parking lot. Previously, trees were removed from the landscape islands, so the company will need to plant four new trees and add seven more throughout the area.
