Exciting News: 9 New Assassin’s Creed Games Are in Development—Discover What’s Coming Next!

Ubisoft is ramping up its Assassin’s Creed franchise with nine new games in the works, according to a recent report by Tom Henderson on Insider Gaming. Let’s break down what we can expect.

First up is Jade, a mobile game set in Ancient China. It’s one of the two officially announced titles, but details have been scarce for the past two years. Henderson predicts it will be the next game to hit the market.

Next, there’s Invictus. This is a multiplayer spin-off akin to Fall Guys. Henderson mentioned that it’s set to launch in 2025 and plans for a supportive five years post-launch, assuming it meets sales goals.

Anticipation is also building for the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, codenamed Obsidian. This remake is expected to release around late 2025 or early 2026.

Another intriguing title is Assassin’s Creed Hexe, confirmed by Ubisoft after a teaser unveiled during a presentation in 2022. Developed by Clint Hocking, known for his work on Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, this entry aims to offer a unique franchise experience. It’s projected to release around 2027, right after Assassin’s Creed Shadows completes its post-launch support.

Moreover, a new open-world RPG, codenamed Scarlet, has begun production. Some speculate this could be linked to Assassin’s Creed Nebula, which might feature three distinct settings: the Aztec Empire, India, and the Mediterranean.

The roadmap also mentions Stardust, another remake, although details about which game is being remade remain unclear. There’s also Emerald, a multiplayer title set to be released around the same time as Stardust, and will have a five-year support plan too. An unknown project dubbed RPG 3 and a third remake are slated to launch after these titles, but specific information about them is still under wraps.

While we wait for these games, Ubisoft has officially rolled out the year one roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, giving fans something to look forward to.

In recent years, Ubisoft has faced mixed reactions from the community regarding its game releases, balancing excitement with concerns over game quality and innovation. With this ambitious lineup, it seems they’re aiming to reclaim that excitement while diversifying the gaming experience.

Let’s see how this plays out in the coming years! For more details, check out the full report on Insider Gaming here.
