Exciting News: A Beloved Lexington Brewery Expands with a New Kitchen! Discover the Delicious Menu!

Hazelwood Brewing Company in Lexington is about to take a big step forward. They are launching a new kitchen on February 4, aiming to enhance the experience for their customers after five successful years in business.

Owner Matt Rodgers is excited about this addition. The kitchen will allow them to be as creative with food as they are with their beers. Matt shared his joy about the growth of the brewery and the support from the community: “Watching the area grow and seeing how people embrace what we’re doing has been amazing.”

Located in the Old Mill at 711 E Main St., Hazelwood has been a staple in brewing since 2018. Before that, Matt grew hops on his family’s farm in Camden, starting back in 2005. This experience has shaped the brewery’s commitment to quality.

Although they’ve served food from various food trucks since 2022, the new kitchen will provide a more consistent dining option. Weather-related cancellations from food trucks have been a challenge, but now customers can enjoy food made right on-site. The kitchen functions similarly to a food truck, where guests can order via a QR code and collect their meals at a convenient window.

This setup won’t be like a typical restaurant. It blends the casual feel of a food truck with the advantages of a permanent kitchen. Two chefs will help develop the menu, featuring a variety of flatbreads, sandwiches, and snacks. The menu will shift with the seasons, focusing on local ingredients whenever possible.

One item to look forward to is the cheesesteak sandwich, topped with house-made beer cheese. Matt describes it as “a little messy and a little awesome,” and it’s clear he’s eager to showcase this delicious creation.

With this new kitchen, Hazelwood Brewing Company is set to enrich the community’s dining scene, combining great food and craft beer in an inviting atmosphere.
