The Batesville Food Pantry is now adding evening hours! Starting this month, the pantry will be open on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. This change is to help families who can’t make it during the regular Wednesday hours, which are from noon to 4 p.m.
Every month, the pantry helps over 200 families, totaling more than 700 people, in Franklin and Ripley counties. Many of these families struggle to afford enough food.
To manage the new evening schedule, the pantry needs extra hands. Local groups, teams, clubs, churches, or organizations interested in volunteering can reach out to director Kendra at kendra@batesvillefoodpantry.org.
The pantry relies on donations. Non-perishable food items and cash contributions are always welcome. You can drop off food at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, St. Louis Catholic Church, or right in front of the Food Pantry at 920 County Line Road.
If you prefer to donate money, you can send a check to Batesville Food Pantry, P.O. Box 383, Batesville, IN 47006. Alternatively, you can make a donation online at www.batesvillefoodpantry.org by clicking the “Donate” button.
The Batesville Food Pantry is supported by the Batesville Area Ministerial Association (BAMA), which is a group of Christian churches dedicated to serving the Batesville and Oldenburg communities. BAMA not only provides financial support but also volunteers and emergency funds for local needs.
