Exciting News: Devena Moore Achieves Nurse Practitioner License with Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department

PARKERSBURG — Great news from the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department! Devena Moore has just received her license as a nurse practitioner in West Virginia.

Devena has dedicated 17 years to the Health Department. Now, as a family nurse practitioner, she can provide care for patients of all ages. Her services include:

  • Preventative care like immunizations and well-child exams.
  • Physical exams for work, school, and health screenings.
  • Women’s health services.
  • Nexplanon insertions and removals.
  • General health screenings.
  • Health education and wellness programs.
  • STI education, screenings, and treatment.
  • Referrals to specialists when needed.

Devena’s journey in nursing started with a certificate in practical nursing from Washington State College of Ohio in 2011. After working as a licensed practical nurse, she earned her associate’s degree in nursing in 2022 and passed her boards to become a registered nurse. In July 2023, she completed her bachelor’s degree and went on to get her master’s degree in nursing in 2024, focusing on family nursing.

Growing up in Wood County, Devena is thrilled to serve her community in this expanded role.
