Exciting News: ‘Jury Duty’ Season 2 Renewed and Filmed – What to Expect on Amazon Prime Video!

“Jury Duty” is back for another round! This comedy series first surprised everyone when it appeared on Amazon’s now-defunct Freevee in 2023. Now, it will continue on Amazon Prime Video for a second season.

For the upcoming season, sources suggest the setting will shift from the courtroom to a corporate retreat. Filming has taken place in Agoura Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles. Amazon hasn’t confirmed these details yet.

In Season 1, the show followed Ronald Gladden’s experience as a juror. He slowly realizes that the trial is a complete setup, and the other participants are actors. It was a wild ride that kept viewers guessing until the end.

When asked about future seasons, showrunner Cody Heller mentioned that they would need to explore entirely new scenarios. “You can’t just do jury duty again,” he stated. He believes there are plenty of creative directions to go in, a sentiment echoed by executive producers David Bernad and Todd Schulman.

“Jury Duty” was created by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, with them and others executive producing the first season. The cast included talented performers like Mekki Leeper, Alan Barinholtz, and Rashida Olayiwola, among others.

The show’s success led to a special deal for Ronald Gladden. He’ll work with Amazon to develop and star in new projects across different platforms. It’s an exciting time for him and the series!
