REDDING, Calif. — The Simpson University Red Hawks are excited to welcome Adin Benson, a talented offensive lineman from Modoc High School, to their team.
Adin officially signed his letter of intent on Friday, surrounded by family and friends who showed their support.
At 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 250 pounds, Adin played a key role in helping Modoc reach the playoffs this past season. He is known for his skill in paving the way for running plays and protecting the quarterback. His talent caught the attention of several colleges, but he chose Simpson University. He felt it was the best fit for him.
“They seemed genuinely interested in me. I wanted to be somewhere I felt valued. I also have hope for this program, and I really like the coaches,” Adin said. He also mentioned wanting to strengthen his relationship with God, which is another reason he chose Simpson.
Head Coach Shawn Daniel is thrilled about having Adin on the team. “His talent is outstanding. He stands out as one of the best in Northstate. We’ve had our eye on him for two years,” Daniel commented.
Beyond his impressive football skills, Benson is also an accomplished student. Daniel highlighted Adin’s character, stating he embodies the values they want in their program and community.
Adin plans to major in business and is eager to contribute to the growing success of the Red Hawks. With his determination and skills, he looks to make a significant impact on the team.
