PokéPark Kanto is set to open on February 5, 2026, making it the first permanent Pokémon theme park. This exciting attraction will be located in Tokyo’s Yomiuriland amusement park and requires a special add-on pass for entry.
Visitors will enter through a “Pokémon Research Lab,” leading them into two main areas: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.
Pokémon Forest resembles a lively natural habitat, featuring hills, grassy pathways, and rocky trails. Here, visitors can see Pokémon statues in action, showcasing various activities like battling or just hanging out.
Sedge Town serves as the park’s hub. It features the Pokémon Center and a Poké Mart, offering snacks and merchandise. Adventure awaits with rides like Pika Pika Paradise, which is all about electric-type Pokémon, and Vee Vee Voyage, a carousel with carriages pulled by Ponyta and Rapidash, as well as balloons for a fun ride with Eevee.
Interestingly, while Pokémon parks have popped up temporarily before, this is the first time fans will have a permanent venue dedicated to their favorite creatures. The buzz on social media has been electric, with fans eagerly sharing their excitement about the upcoming opening. Recent surveys indicate that nearly 75% of Pokémon fans are interested in visiting PokéPark Kanto, highlighting its expected popularity.
