The Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express has a new schedule as of October 21. Managed by Southern Railway, this train operates on the Konkan Railway, which has two timetables: Monsoon and Non-Monsoon. Speed restrictions are in place during the rainy season for safety.

Covering 437 km, the train takes approximately 4 hours and 35 minutes. It makes two stops: at Karwar and Udupi. The train leaves Mangaluru Central at 08:30 and arrives at Madgaon Junction by 13:10. On the return trip, it departs Madgaon at 18:10 and reaches Mangaluru at 22:45.

This Vande Bharat service runs every day except Thursdays. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, 2023, and began service on January 1, 2024.

Ticket prices vary, with the AC Chair Car costing around ₹1,230 and the Executive Chair Car at ₹2,220. Recent data indicates a surge in train travel, with Vande Bharat services witnessing a 35% rise in ridership compared to last year. This reflects a growing interest in efficient, comfortable train travel in India.
