The trailer, which wowed those in attendance, didn’t include any live performances like those seen at the Oscars. Still, it was powerful enough to get loud cheers from theater owners in the audience.

Set to hit theaters on November 21, Wicked: For Good continues the story of Glinda, played by Grande, and the Wicked Witch of the West, known as Elphaba, portrayed by Erivo. Key moments from the trailer include Galinda’s voice-over, urging Elphaba, “I know you’re out there.” As scenes unfold, we catch glimpses of the enchanting world with Elphaba declaring, “This is about the Wizard and I.” Striking visuals show her iconic sky-writing message: “OUR WIZARD LIES,” and an intense scene where Galinda assures Elphaba, “Think about what we can do together.”

Returning cast members include Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero and Ethan Slater as Boq. The film has wrapped production, with Chu editing both parts of Wicked simultaneously. The first part was a massive hit, grossing over $747 million globally and earning ten Oscar nominations, with two wins.

Winnie Holzman, the writer behind the original stage musical, is back to adapt the script alongside Dana Fox. Music for the film is executive produced by Stephen Schwartz, ensuring a blend of heart and magic that fans are eagerly anticipating.

As Wicked continues to capture attention, it’s worth noting that the Broadway musical remains a cultural phenomenon since its debut in 2003. This enduring popularity underlines the importance of storytelling in both theater and film, engaging audiences across generations.
