Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia hosted the much-anticipated Food & Hospitality Malaysia (FHM) 2025 event from September 23 to 26. This year marked a significant leap forward, with the exhibition expanding to use all 11 halls of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Over 1,500 brands showcased their offerings, attracting more than 25,000 trade visitors eager to explore new innovations in the food and hospitality sectors.

The exhibition is organized by Informa Markets Malaysia and has established itself as a key platform for industry professionals. This year’s theme, “Cultivating Solutions for the Food and Hospitality Industry,” reflects a focus on current challenges and trends, including sustainability and consumer preferences.

Gerard Leeuwenburgh, Country General Manager of Informa Markets Malaysia, emphasized the commitment to fostering collaboration within the industry. He mentioned, “Our aim is to provide impactful experiences that help exhibitors and buyers connect and explore new ideas.” This expansion showcases their dedication to supporting every aspect of the industry.

Key highlights of the event included specialized areas such as the International Signature Hall and the Brew & Bake Hall. One of the favorite features was Malaysia Pastry Week, which included the World Pastry Cup – Team Malaysia National Selection and innovative pastry competitions.

In a creative twist, FHM partnered with Bungkus Kaw Kaw, a popular local brand, to offer exclusive merchandise. This collaboration not only enhances the exhibition atmosphere but also promotes Malaysian creativity on a global stage.

On September 25, the FutureFWD – Hospitality, Food & Beverage conference will delve into pressing issues shaping the industry, featuring experts and pioneers discussing tech advancements and sustainability. A recent study by Deloitte noted that 70% of consumers are actively seeking sustainable options in food and beverage, making this topic particularly relevant.

Beyond the trade floor, FHM is committed to community welfare. Their Food Share Initiative partners with the Food Aid Foundation to ensure any surplus food is donated to local kitchens, reinforcing their impact on the community.

As trade professionals continue to register on-site, walk-in admission is available for RM100, granting access to all four days of the exhibition. This makes it easy for industry members to participate and network.
