Before the gates opened, fans enjoyed a festive atmosphere with a 110-foot Ferris wheel, food trucks, and even a chance to take photos with the Commissioner’s Trophy. Country star Tim McGraw performed, sharing stories about his late father, who had some tough moments against the Reds and Braves.

Players rode around the track in pickup trucks, soaking up the moment. Starting pitcher Spencer Strider, a local hero from Knoxville, received a warm welcome, while Cincinnati’s Chase Burns was also recognized. NASCAR stars like Kyle Busch joined baseball Hall of Famers to throw out the first pitch, adding to the star-studded night.

However, rain impacted the game’s start, which added to the anticipation. Braves first baseman Matt Olson was amazed by the setup. “It’s incredible that so much effort went into one game.”

As the Reds aim for a wild-card spot, this matchup is significant. It’s the first MLB game in Tennessee, and players like Andrew Abbott showed up dressed in NASCAR-style attire to celebrate.

With over 85,000 tickets sold, this game is set to break attendance records. Official statistics reveal that this figure surpasses the previous record from 1954.
