Experience the Excitement: Unforgettable Entertainment Awaits at Vernon Hills Days!

Vernon Hills Days 2025 is set to be an exciting summer event, featuring music from a variety of talented bands. Headlining the festival will be Tommy DeCarlo, the lead vocalist of the famous band Boston.

Village Manager Kevin Timony expressed his enthusiasm about the lineup, saying, “I have more than a feeling that this will be a great show.” This year, the village board authorized a contract of up to $150,000 with the Entertainment Management Group to bring these artists to the stage.

Here’s what you can expect during the festival:

Thursday: The evening kicks off with the Too Hype Crew, known for their tribute to 80s, 90s, and early 2000s hip-hop and party hits. A spectacular fireworks display will follow their performance.

Friday: Opening the show will be Starlight City, delivering a fantastic mix of pop and dance music. This group is known for energizing crowds with hits from artists like Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa. The night will end with alternative rockers Switchfoot taking the stage as the headliner.

Saturday: The tribute band Heart to Heartbreaker will perform, celebrating the music of rock legends Heart and Pat Benatar. Tommy DeCarlo will headline this night, showcasing his talent and the iconic sound of Boston.

Sunday: The festival wraps up with Modern Day Romeos, a local favorite known for their diverse music styles ranging from Motown to classic rock, all sprinkled with humor.

The village has worked with EMG before, and this year’s contract is similar to those of previous years, just slightly higher in cost. EMG is responsible for booking the bands, managing contracts, and providing the stage and sound setup.

Vernon Hills Days is a free event designed to entertain the community with a mix of music styles that appeal to all ages. Timony noted, “We aim to feature a wide range of local, regional, and national artists.” The budget covers four nights of performances, ensuring plenty of great music.

This festival started in 1992 under a different name with acts like Marie Osmond and The Guess Who. It became Vernon Hills Days in 2022 to reflect what locals have always called it. The festival will take place from July 17 to July 20 at Century Park.
