Jazz Fest 2026: A Celebration to Remember
Jazz Fest 2026 came to a close with a memorable final day. Under the warm sun, music lovers enjoyed delicious food and great performances. Organizers hoped to see around 400,000 attendees, but the final count won’t be available for days.
Legendary band Earth, Wind and Fire rocked the Congo Stage, while local favorite Trombone Shorty wrapped up the Festival Stage. Many attendees shared their highlights from the festival, with music at the top of the list.
“My favorite part of Jazz Fest is the music,” said Trina Joseph from New Orleans. For others, like Ramon Gonzales, crowd management made a difference this year. He noted, “I think the spirit is great. It does get crowded, but I understand the safety measures.”
Food is a standout feature of Jazz Fest. Keith Parker expressed his enthusiasm: “The food is wonderful! You have to try everything, even if you’re from here!”
Looking ahead, the buzz for next year’s lineup is already starting. Fans are eager to see artists like Anita Baker and Ludacris. Cherlena Adams added, “I love the food and the daiquiris. More daiquiri shops would be great!”
Did you know that up to 90% of the performances feature local musicians? This strong community focus highlights the festival’s commitment to showcasing New Orleans talent. Applications to perform next year will open on June 1.
As Jazz Fest continues to grow, it remains a cherished event that brings together music, culture, and, of course, amazing food. It’s a reminder of our shared love for music and community.
