Experience the Magic of Winter: Santa Barbara Chamber Players’ Concert Awaits You!

The Santa Barbara Chamber Players are hosting a winter concert on February 1 at 7:30 p.m. It will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Barbara, and promises to be an evening of beautiful music.

Conductor Emmanuel Fratianni will lead an exciting program of classical and operatic pieces. Special guest soprano April Amante will lend her stunning voice to several iconic arias.

  • April Amante performs four pieces:
    • Canteloube’s “Chants d’Auvergne”: Experience French folk songs brought to life by Amante’s rich vocals.
    • Puccini’s “O Mio Babbino Caro”: A touching aria that will showcase Amante’s passionate singing.
    • Puccini’s “Quando m’en vo”: This playful piece will highlight Amante’s vocal range and dramatic flair.
    • Schönberg’s “I Dreamed a Dream”: A stirring song reimagined in a classical style, performed by Amante.

Emmanuel Fratianni, the conductor, is well-known for his work in classical music and multimedia productions. He has led performances with prestigious orchestras like the San Francisco Symphony and the Boston Pops. Fratianni has also contributed to film and TV music, working on shows like JAG and NCIS, and films such as Avatar.
