Little Brother Chinese Food, a frozen food company from South Portland, has closed its doors after four successful years.

Co-owners Richard Lee and Claire Guyer shared their decision on Instagram. They expressed gratitude to their customers, saying, “Thank you so much for joining us on this journey. Your support allowed us to make a living doing something we loved.” It’s clear they cherished their time in the business.
Little Brother was located in the Fork Food Lab complex on Darling Avenue. They became known for their frozen dumplings and unique jars of chili crisp. Their farewell message described the business as more than just a food operation; it was an ongoing artistic project. “Everyone who tried our dumplings or ordered a jar participated in our large-scale artistic performance,” they wrote.
Even though production has stopped, their products are still available at local stores. This means fans of their dumplings and chili crisp can still enjoy their favorites for a while longer.
While Lee and Guyer haven’t shared detailed reasons for the closure, the community will surely miss their innovative approach to comfort food.
