Generous $10K Donation to Caldwell Food Pantry: Community Cheers for Impact!

CALDWELL, NJ — The Caldwell Food Pantry recently received a generous boost with a $10,000 donation from local business leaders Kevin O’Toole, Thomas Scrivo, and Kenny Meka. This contribution is a significant help to the pantry, which serves around 60 households each week, providing essential food and resources to residents of Caldwell and West Caldwell.

The Caldwell Health & Human Services Department expressed heartfelt thanks for the support, which also acknowledges Mayor Garrett Jones and other officials for their ongoing commitment to the community.

As food insecurity continues to impact many families across the country, local efforts like the Caldwell Food Pantry are more important than ever. According to a recent report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, approximately 10.5% of American households were food insecure at some point last year. This stark reality highlights the necessity of community support systems.

The pantry operates Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m., located at the Irene Gibbons Health & Human Services Building on Park Avenue. It’s a lifeline for many, ensuring everyone has access to the nourishment they need.
