Get Ready: Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is Officially Set to Release!

The release date for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is set for August 5, 2025, in North America and Europe.

To build excitement, Sega has released a new story trailer. Players who opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition can enjoy an early access period of up to five days before the official launch.

Different game editions will be available upon release. The Digital Deluxe Edition is priced around £65, while the Digital Standard and physical editions are expected to cost £55. Here’s a quick look at what each edition offers:

Digital Deluxe Edition

• Base game
• Unlock keys for two Kimetsu Academy characters: Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui
• Additional character unlock keys: Tengen Uzui, Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima
• Upper Rank Demons Set voice lines for VS Mode
• Three unique battle attire costumes
• Early access starting July 31, 2025, with extra character unlock keys for pre-orders made before August 5, 2025

Digital Standard Edition

• Base game
• Two Kimetsu Academy characters unlock keys
• Pre-order bonus: Unlock keys available until August 5, 2025

Physical Edition

• Base Game
• Unlock keys for two characters (limited to the launch version)

Players can pre-order digitally starting March 3 for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. The Nintendo Switch version will be available later.

Additionally, there are bonuses for players who have save data from the first Demon Slayer game or Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board!. Linking save data can grant players more unlock keys and special costumes.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and older consoles. The game continues the story of Tanjiro Kamado and features exciting scenes from the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training arcs.

The first game, developed by CyberConnect2, is well-loved and has sold over 4 million copies worldwide since its launch in 2021.
