Get Ready for the Action: Boise State Volleyball Unveils Exciting 2025 Mountain West Schedule!

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State volleyball has announced its Mountain West schedule for 2025, showcasing nine exciting home matches.

The conference season kicks off the week of September 23-27. For the 11th time since joining the Mountain West, Boise State will start the season on the road. Historically, the Broncos have had a mixed bag in these early conference matchups. They are currently 7-7 in conference openers, with a slight edge at home (3-1) compared to their road record (4-6). Since 1980, they have played more road games than home games to start conference play, with a record of 30-15 overall during that time.

The 2025 schedule includes 18 matches with the Broncos facing eight of the ten teams twice, while Utah State and New Mexico will be played once. The Mountain West action begins on September 25 with Boise State taking on Air Force, followed by a match against Nevada on September 27. The Blue and Orange have performed well against both teams in recent seasons, holding winning records in their all-time series against Air Force (21-7) and Nevada (41-30).

In week two, the Broncos will return home to Bronco Gym for matches against Fresno State on October 2 and San Jose State on October 4. The series against Fresno State is tied at 24-24, reflecting a competitive history between the two teams. Meanwhile, Boise State holds a slight lead over San Jose State, leading the series 24-22.

Week three sends the Broncos to Colorado, first facing defending Mountain West champions Colorado State on October 9. The all-time series leans heavily in Colorado State’s favor (23-4), but both teams split their matchups last season. Three days later, Boise State will take on Wyoming, where the series is nearly even, with Wyoming holding a narrow 19-18 edge.

In week four, the Broncos host San Diego State on October 16 and UNLV on October 18. The recent matchup with San Diego State ended in a thrilling five-set victory for Boise State, leveling their all-time series at 12-12. They also lead their series against UNLV, with a current record of 17-12.

The season’s midway point falls during the week of October 21-23. Boise State will play Utah State at home, where they look to improve their 1-2 record against the Aggies from the previous season. They will then head to New Mexico, having previously split their matches in the 2024 season but holding a narrow lead in the all-time series (14-13).

In the second half of the season, Boise State will have back-to-back road matches in weeks six and eight, facing UNLV on October 30 and San Diego State on November 1, followed by away games at San Jose State on November 13 and Fresno State on November 15.

Returning home for week seven, the Broncos will host Wyoming and Colorado State, before finishing up the regular season against Nevada and Air Force in Bronco Gym during week nine. Fans can expect a competitive atmosphere as the season unfolds.

Details about the nonconference schedule will come out later this spring, with tickets available for purchase in early summer. With a mix of strong opponents and home games, Boise State volleyball fans have much to look forward to in the upcoming season.
