Get Ready to Rock: Argenta Theater Presents ‘School of Rock’ & Don’t Miss the Library’s Exciting Used Book Sale!

Used Book Sale

The Central Arkansas Library System is kicking off its first used book sale of 2025! Join us from 2-5 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Port Industrial Hub, located at 7773 Sloane Drive, Little Rock. Get paperbacks for just $1 and hardbacks for $2. You can also grab “bargain boxes” filled with books on a specific topic for just $2. All proceeds support the CALS Foundation, funding events like the Six Bridges Book Festival and various library programs. You can donate books at any CALS branch, excluding the Main and Roberts libraries during their renovations.

Vintage Military Gear Show

Visit the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History at 503 E. Ninth St., Little Rock, for the second Vintage Military Gear Show this Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Explore a collection of uniforms, helmets, and weapons, displayed by Arthur Eschenburg and Hayden Lang. Theater Performances

A Year With Frog & Toad

The Actors Theatre of Little Rock presents “A Year With Frog & Toad,” a charming musical based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved books. Performances run through March 1 at Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. School of Rock

Catch “School of Rock the Musical” at Argenta Contemporary Theater, 405 Main St., North Little Rock. This lively show, based on the hit film, runs until February 23, featuring a group of students who transform into a rock band under the guidance of a substitute teacher. Seussical Jr.

The Royal Theatre Young Players turn the stage into the Jungle of Nool with “Seussical Jr.” Performances are set for 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with weekend matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20, with discounts for seniors and students. Visit ticketleap.events for tickets.

Stuck on a Train to Nowhere

Arkansas State University’s theater department presents “Stuck on a Train to Nowhere,” a unique play created through improvisation. Performances are on February 21-23, exploring the life of passengers trapped on a mysterious, never-ending train. This show contains mature themes. Tickets cost $15, or $10 for seniors and faculty. Auditions for The Sound of Music
