NEW DELHI: Team India skipper Rohit Sharma has been experimenting with spinners in the continuing Border-Gavaskar TrophyIn the primary Test at Perth, India performed Washington Sundar whereas resting each star spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
Despite securing a win and taking a 1-0 lead in the 5-match collection, India dropped Sundar, who had contributed 33 runs and claimed two wickets, and introduced in Ashwin for the second Test in Adelaide, which India misplaced by 10 wickets.

For the third Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, India made one other change, dropping Ashwin and fielding Ravindra Jadeja.
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, who’s a part of the commentary panel for the collection, and host Jatin Sapru, took a pointy dig at Rohit’s spin technique throughout their dialogue.

On Day 2 of the Gabba Testwhen Steve Smith and Travis Head have been in the midst of a powerful partnership, Sapru remarked on India’s inconsistent method with their spinners.
“Washington Sundar in the first Test and (Ravichandran) Ashwin in the second. India has played different spinners in every Test of this series so far,” Sapru stated.
Responding with a witty remark, Harbhajan stated: “Harbhajan Singh in Melbourne.”
The 5-match collection is at the moment tied at 1-1.
India beforehand received again-to-again Border-Gavaskar Trophy wins in Australia—first beneath Virat Kohli’s management in 2018-19 after which beneath Ajinkya Rahane in 2020-21.
Now, with Rohit Sharma at the helm, India are aiming for an unprecedented third consecutive collection victory on Australian soil.
