CHARLESTON, WV – Harvard men’s volleyball faced Charleston this weekend, splitting the series after a tough 3-1 loss.
Zach Berty stood out again with 11 kills, hitting at an impressive .321. He also contributed nine digs and three service aces.
Match Summary
The first set was a nail-biter. Both teams exchanged points, with Charleston gaining a slight lead at 14-11. Harvard fought back with a 4-1 run to tie the game. However, Charleston clinched the set 25-23.
In the second set, Harvard hit its stride. They went on an unstoppable 8-1 run, leading 21-14 before taking the set 25-21, leveling the match.
The tide turned in the third set. After a competitive start, Charleston dominated, finishing the set 25-14 thanks to an 8-1 streak.
In the fourth set, Harvard initially held a 16-14 lead, but Charleston surged back after a 3-0 run. The Golden Eagles held off the Crimson’s efforts to take the set 25-22, ending the match.
