Lifestyle Communities (ASX:LIC) recently shared its trading results for the quarter ending March 31. After a strong start to the financial year, the company saw a slowdown. In Q3 FY26, it recorded 43 net new home sales, down from 60 in the previous quarter.
This dip is largely due to uncertainty in the economy, which has caused many potential buyers to be more cautious, especially in the Victorian property market. Despite the recent slowdown, LIC’s overall performance for the year remains impressive. For the nine months ending in March, net sales hit 153, a sharp 68% rise compared to 91 sales the same period last year. Established home sales also surged by 58%.
Interestingly, while the volume of appointments has decreased, the conversion rates remain steady. This indicates that there is still a solid demand for downsizer housing. The company has made strategic moves to reduce unsold inventory, which has dropped by 41.3% since June 2025. They’ve also worked to cut down net debt from $460.5 million to $296.4 million, highlighting their focus on financial health.
However, LIC has warned that the lower sales from earlier periods may affect future settlements. As of now, their share price stands at $4.68.

Recent Trends:
On social media, many prospective buyers have expressed concerns about market stability. A recent survey indicated that 65% of respondents are delaying purchase decisions due to economic worries. This sentiment is echoed across various platforms, showing a shift in consumer behavior.
