Isabella Gartner, a student at Misericordia, made waves with her Inside Outside App. This app is designed to support student-athletes’ mental health. It offers resources and community support for those balancing academics and athletics.

Another standout, Hunter Wesolowski, co-founded Hunting Positivity. This AI-driven social media platform spreads uplifting content. He and his co-founder earned the Wild Card Award (People’s Choice) and $5,000 in funding to expand their platform. Notably, Alyson Lenker, the Nursing Manager at Misericordia University, is part of their management team.

The tecBRIDGE Business Plan Competition is a top entrepreneurship event in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It motivates college students and local startups to innovate and grow.

This year’s competition reflects a growing trend in supporting mental health, especially among student-athletes. According to a recent report from the NCAA, nearly 30% of student-athletes experience mental health issues, making solutions like Gartner’s app even more crucial.
