In 2021, Walmart committed $350 billion over ten years to sourcing U.S. products. As of last year, they’ve already spent $176 billion towards this goal, with around two-thirds of their product budget focused on domestic goods. The Open Call also featured presentations from 13 innovative companies focusing on enhancing U.S. manufacturing. Their technologies ranged from improving product shelf life to using alternative materials. Companies like Plantible, known for plant-based proteins, are leading the way in these advancements.

According to TipRanks, Walmart has a “Strong Buy” rating with an average price target suggesting a potential increase in stock value, indicating that investors remain optimistic about the company’s future.
