Indian cricket workforce spinner R Ashwin introduced his retirement from worldwide cricket following the third Test encounter in opposition to Australia in Brisbane on Wednesday. The 38-year-old retires from the sport because the second highest wicket-taker for India in Tests with 537 scalps in 106 video games, inserting him solely behind the good Anil Kumble (619 wickets) within the general statistics.

“He is a big match-winner for us. He is allowed to make those decisions on his own, and if it was now, so be it. He looks a very witty character, as you saw in his press conference. He is a very funny guy, there’s no doubt about that.”
