MEA on China new County: The LAC difficulty between India and China was simply being resolved when the Chinese authorities has once more proven its grasping face. China has claimed some areas of Ladakh as its personal. The Foreign Ministry has strongly reprimanded China on this.
The Foreign Ministry stated that China has introduced two new counties in its Hotan province that are elements of Ladakh. Therefore, India has lodged a ‘critical protest’ with China. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated in a media briefing on Friday (January 3, 2025), “We have seen the announcement regarding the establishment of two new counties in the Hotan province of China. Parts of the jurisdiction of these so-called counties are part of the Union Territory of India.” Come in the state Ladakh.
Jaiswal stated that India has by no means accepted China’s unlawful occupation of Indian territory in Ladakh. Randhir Jaiswal stated, “The formation of the new county will not have an effect on India’s long-standing and constant stance concerning our sovereignty in the region, nor will it legitimize China’s unlawful and forcible occupation.
