Overview
TS Food Packaging is recalling its “Rural King” and “Wabash Valley Farms” bacon seasoning due to a safety concern involving undeclared soy. This could pose a serious risk to anyone allergic to soy.
The recall affects products sold across the country, both online and in retail stores. They come in 4.2 oz plastic jars and 1 oz sample packets. The specific lot numbers to watch for are: 17324s, 27824s, 30324s, and 16524SP, 16624SP, 23424SP, 26324SP, 26424SP, 26724SP, 20624S, 20724S.
As of now, there have been no reported illnesses related to this issue. The problem arose when a soy ingredient was substituted by a supplier without proper notification. Steps have been taken to ensure this does not happen again.
If you’ve bought these bacon seasonings, it’s best to return them to the store for a full refund. For questions, you can call TS Food Packaging at 262-763-9434 during business hours or email them at mail@tsfoodpackaging.com.
