Ahead of the fourth Test in opposition to Australia at Melbourne, former Indian all-rounder and head coach Ravi Shastri predicted that India will win the match, including that the primary day of the Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will resolve the best way the collection will go. With the collection degree at 1-1, either side will probably be enjoying the much-anticipated Boxing Day Test aspiring to safe an all-important collection lead wanted to push a case for the ICC World Test Championship remaining.
