Indian Air Force: A Tribute Through ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha’ – Insights from J&K CM on RSS Leader Hosabale

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah responded to a recent statement from RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale. Abdullah emphasized that India is rich in diversity and can be referred to as Bharat, India, or Hindustan. He stated, “We proudly call our country by these names, and anyone can choose to use another name if they wish.” He highlighted the pride associated with India’s military forces and the unity expressed in patriotic songs.

AIUDF MLA Rafiqul Islam joined the conversation, suggesting that if the RSS keeps changing names, they should consider changing their own name too. He described Hosabale’s remarks as filled with negativity, asserting that the names India and Bharat are a source of pride for all Indians.

During a recent book launch, Hosabale raised questions about the use of “India” in official titles and suggested that “Bharat” should be used consistently. He pointed out that the invitation for the G-20 summit used “Republic of Bharat” and questioned why other official documents still use “India.” He argued that if “Bharat” is the country’s name, it should be used everywhere.

Hosabale also expressed a vision for India, stating that the country aims to rise for the benefit of all nations, not just for its own gain. He reflected on history, noting that Indians did not feel inferior during Mughal rule, but British colonization brought a sense of superiority surrounding English culture, which has impacted education and societal views.
