Inspiring IIT Delhi Students: Pradhan Urges Innovation for a Self-Reliant Bharat

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi recently. He met with students from various programs, including undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctoral candidates.

During his visit, Pradhan emphasized the idea of self-reliance, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message from his recent Independence Day speech. He noted that this moment represents a great chance to focus on national objectives and work toward a prosperous India by 2047, which he referred to as “Samridhh Bharat.”

Pradhan took the time to hear from students about their aspirations, their innovative research, and the technological hurdles they face. He encouraged them to pursue bold ideas and tackle challenges head-on, highlighting that the government supports their creative efforts.

He expressed confidence in the youth’s talent and determination, believing that these qualities—combined with the drive for self-reliance—will enhance India’s technological and economic independence. Pradhan stressed that institutions like IITs play a key role in building a self-sufficient nation. With strong government backing, he anticipates that young innovators will redefine technology and entrepreneurship in India.

As a follow-up, Pradhan mentioned he would return to IIT Delhi to check in on the innovations being developed there.
