Introducing OCVibe’s Exciting New Food Hall Name and Fresh Bar & Lounge Concepts!

If you’ve ever driven by the Honda Center in Anaheim, you’ve probably noticed the construction of OCVibe, a $5 billion development that’s changing the landscape of the area. This project will cover about 100 acres and aims to create a vibrant community with various dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The focal point for food lovers is Katella Commons, a spacious 50,000-square-foot pavilion. It’s set to open in early 2027 as a lively gathering spot.

Katella Commons aims to break away from the typical food court experience. It will feature 21 kitchens and six unique bars and lounges, focusing on bringing diverse culinary offerings together. The name “Katella” honors local history, derived from a 19th-century ranch owned by the Rea family.

Nick Pacific, the vice president overseeing Katella Commons, emphasizes that the design is all about community. Each dining and bar space will have its own character to encourage exploration. Instead of a bland, uniform look, different designers will craft each bar and lounge, making the area feel like a collection of distinct venues.

The beverage options are just as exciting. For a cozy evening, Bar Bacchia will have a wine cave vibe, featuring cocktails and small bites. The Vesper Lounge will blend Scandinavian and Japanese design, perfect for those who enjoy botanical-based drinks. Daytime visitors can chill at Rea’s Ranch, which has a desert-inspired atmosphere, or head to the Barrel Bar, offering a European-style cafe experience.

On the lively side, one area will channel “maximalist” themes from the ‘80s, while another space is touted as the “social heart” of Katella Commons with its lush greenery and frozen cocktails.

Renowned chef Rémi Lauvand, who previously worked at Montrachet in New York, will help shape the overall culinary direction of Katella Commons. Notably, Chef Debbie Lee will introduce her Korean-American concepts alongside other talented chefs.

A recent survey found that almost 70% of consumers prefer dining options that offer variety and experiences over traditional restaurants. With this data, Katella Commons seems poised to meet these evolving expectations.

OCVibe isn’t just about food. Once completed, it will provide 20 acres of open space and three miles of connected walking trails. There will be over 2,500 new residences and more than 35 dining options to explore. The project is also conveniently located near transit options, making it accessible for visitors.
