Jayden Reed Clarifies Misinterpretations from Packers Meeting: What You Need to Know

Jayden Reed had his first chat with the press since his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, spoke with the Packers about Reed’s role on the team. He mentioned being aware of this meeting beforehand and felt confident about his position after the draft.

The Packers picked Matthew Golden in the first round and Savion Williams in the third. Reed explained, “A lot of people misinterpreted that. I hired a new agent, and we discussed this before the draft. He wanted to check in with everyone to ensure we were all on the same page.”

It seems the details about the meeting were supposed to stay private, but Reed understands how information can get twisted. “People see things differently, and that’s okay,” he added.

In his first two seasons, Reed led the Packers in receptions and receiving yards. However, he hasn’t yet hit the 1,000-yard mark in a single season. The last Packers receiver to achieve this was Davante Adams, who racked up 1,553 yards in 2021.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs emphasized the need for a top-notch wide receiver to complement Reed, along with teammates like Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson.

Reed shared his perspective: “Winning is what matters most. I don’t focus on targets. I could have two targets, but if we win, that’s all I care about.” His unselfish attitude stands out. “Whenever someone is down, I’m there to lift them up. I want to support my teammates.”
