WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Duke men’s golf team, currently ranked 26th in the nation, is set to compete in the Seahawk Intercollegiate this week. The event takes place at the beautiful Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall, hosted by UNC Wilmington. It kicks off with 36 holes on Monday, March 30, followed by the final round on Tuesday, March 31.
This year’s tournament will feature 15 teams, including UNCW, Davidson, Florida Atlantic, and several others. The challenging par-72 course stretches over 7,030 yards, setting the stage for some exciting competition.
Leading the Blue Devils is junior Bryan Kim, who is currently ranked sixth among individual players. Duke’s lineup includes talented players like sophomore Ollie Mukherjee and seniors Ethan Evans, William Love, and Daniel Choi. There are also individual competitors from Duke: John Hiller, Charles Nelson, Sam Mukherjee, and Alexander Weinberg.
Golf experts suggest that the team will need strong performances from all members to tackle the aggressive competition this year. According to a recent NCAA report, more teams are investing in their golf programs, making tournaments like this even more competitive.
