Join the Celebration: 2025 Venice Pride Block Party with Dance, Food Trucks, and More This Weekend!

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Venice, located on the Westside of Los Angeles, will come alive with its annual Pride celebration. This year, it will feature a vibrant block party and a lively dance event, celebrating nearly a century of inclusivity.

The Venice Pride Block Party, hosted by L.A. County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, will take place from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the iconic Venice sign. All ages are welcome to join in on the fun. DJ Victor Rodriguez & Friends will be on the decks, and attendees can enjoy various community booths, food trucks, and a special queer market. Vendors will include local favorites like Pride on the Pier and EklipTik Studio.

After the block party, the festivities will continue with a late-night dance party at Baja Cantina, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. This special edition of Gaywatch features DJ Naté and other special guests. It’s a 21-and-over event, and tickets can be purchased online.

Venice Pride began in 2016 as a response to the closure of the historical Roosterfish bar, aiming to preserve the local LGBTQ+ community. The event has evolved since then, celebrating milestones like the introduction of the Venice Pride Flag Lifeguard Tower in 2017. The celebration is organized by Venice Pride, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring LGBTQ+ history, promoting education, and fostering acceptance.

According to recent statistics, the LGBTQ+ community is increasingly visible in media and society. A 2022 study found that 70% of people believe that LGBTQ+ rights have improved over the past decade, showcasing the power of events like Venice Pride in raising awareness and support.
