Gurugram. BMW India has officially launched the Indian edition of the BMW Golf Cup 2025 in Coimbatore. This exciting amateur golf tournament will take place at some of the best golf courses in Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Greater Noida, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Gurugram. The top players from the regional events will compete in the national finals in Gurugram later in 2025.
Vikram Pawah, the President and CEO of BMW Group India, expressed the company’s commitment to golf. “The BMW Golf Cup showcases our dedication to the sport, giving amateur golfers a platform to shine in beautiful settings across India,” he said.
The BMW Golf Cup has a rich history, starting as the BMW Invitation Tournament in the UK 25 years ago. It quickly grew into an international event featuring around 1,000 tournaments with over 100,000 players across 50 countries. The best participants from each country advance to the grand World Final.
This exclusive event is accessible by invitation only, targeting members of recognized golf clubs in India. The tournaments follow local club rules, and it’s also a loyalty program for BMW customers, giving them a chance to compete. BMW dealers handpick amateur golfers from their clientele to join the tournament.
India will be one of the 50 countries represented at the BMW Golf Cup 2025 World Final, making it a significant event globally. This tournament is tailored for customers, potential buyers, and key opinion leaders and promotes social interaction among participants.
Participants compete in three categories:
- Category A: Handicaps up to 12
- Category B: Handicaps 13 – 28
- Ladies Category: Handicaps up to 28
The winners and runners-up in each category will advance to the National Final. Those who excel there will get the chance to compete in the World Final.
