Join the Excitement: NGWSD Girls in Sport Clinic at Washington and Lee University – Empowering Young Female Athletes!

LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University is thrilled to host a free clinic for girls in grades K-5 on Saturday, February 8th, in celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day. This exciting event will take place from 12:30 to 1:50 PM at the Richard L. Duchossois Athletic and Recreation Center.

During the 75-minute session, young participants will engage in fun sports drills led by athletes from the Generals women’s teams. It will be a great opportunity for girls to learn new skills, meet new friends, and enjoy the spirit of sports.

The clinic wraps up just in time for everyone to support the Generals as they take on the Lynchburg Hornets at 2 PM in Holekamp Gym. It’s a perfect way for families to enjoy an afternoon of sports together!

Registration Information

Registration is limited to 50 participants. To sign up, please complete the registration form. Additionally, a liability waiver must be signed before participation.

Schedule

  • 12:30 PM – Check-In
  • 12:45 PM – Welcome & Group Assignments
  • 12:50 – 1:50 PM – Sports Drills & Skills
  • 2:00 PM – Cheer on the Women’s Basketball Team vs. Lynchburg

Please Note

  • Liability waivers are required for all participants.
  • Stay in the building during the clinic. Kids will only be released to the adults who signed them in.
  • Dress in athletic gear, including tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle.
