Join the Movement: Union Minister Suresh Gopi Inspires New Recruits at Rozgar Mela to Achieve ‘Viksit Bharat’ Vision Together!

On Saturday, a significant event called Rozgar Mela took place in Thiruvananthapuram. During this event, 130 candidates received appointment letters. Among them, 79 joined the Indian Railways, 12 were offered positions at VSSC/ISRO, and 23 found roles in institutions like IISER and CSIR–NIIST. Other recruits included people joining the Bank of Baroda, Indian Air Force, and even the Indian Navy.

Union Minister Suresh Gopi attended the event, highlighting its importance. He said this initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2022, is not just about filling positions. It’s about empowering the youth to contribute to the nation’s growth. He described the appointment letters as the beginning of a new journey, urging the new recruits to serve with dedication and integrity.

Prime Minister Modi also participated. He emphasized that the youth are crucial for India’s future. He stressed that young people will drive progress in various sectors, like technology, railways, and clean energy. His vision is for India to become a developed nation by 2047, with the active participation of its youth.

Historically, these job fairs are a response to high youth unemployment, which was a growing concern in recent years. The initiative aims to tackle this by connecting young people with government jobs. A recent report indicated that youth unemployment in India was around 23.5% in 2021, highlighting the importance of such employment drives.

The first Rozgar Mela was held four years ago, and since then, about 1.2 million young people have found jobs through this program. This effort reflects a broader national strategy to harness the energy and skills of the youth for national development.

In the spirit of “Nagrik Devo Bhava,” Gopi encouraged the new recruits to serve with empathy. It’s about building a stronger, more developed India, one role at a time. Each job, whether in a bank or on the front lines, contributes to the fabric of the nation.

Overall, this event is more than just about jobs; it’s about shaping India’s future and empowering its youth to be the leaders of tomorrow.
