Join the SBC Fountain Hills Food Drive: Make a Difference in Our Community!

This spring, local SBC campuses are gearing up to bring hope to families in need throughout the Valley.

On Sundays, March 9 and March 16, congregants can donate food and essentials for local food banks during church services. It’s a great chance to make a difference in the community.

In Fountain Hills, donations will go to the Extended Hands Food Bank. This food bank serves families in Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, Rio Verde, and Fort McDowell Reservation.

Volunteers at Extended Hands prepare hundreds of food boxes each month, helping over 300 families. They also distribute bread, dairy, and meat donated by local grocery stores, ensuring families have access to a variety of foods.

Donation Ideas

Here’s a list of items that SBC is collecting for the Extended Hands Food Bank. Please ensure all items are unopened and within the expiry date:

  • White or brown rice
  • Peanut butter and jelly (in plastic jars)
  • Canned or dry beans
  • Boxed meals (like tuna helper)
  • Canned chicken or tuna
  • Crackers
  • Canned fruit and vegetables
  • Pasta and pasta sauce (in plastic jars)
  • Granola and cereal bars
  • Cereal (boxed or bagged)

Food and hygiene item donations are needed year-round. Local churches and organizations play a crucial role in supporting these efforts to meet community demands. Besides immediate food assistance, they also help address longer-term challenges that families may face.
