The Community Food Bank of Grand Junction is set to kick off its inaugural Dancing with the Western Slope Stars fundraiser on Saturday, May 3, starting at 6 p.m. This exciting event aims to generate funds to help the Food Bank continue providing free, nutritious food to residents in the Grand Valley.
The spotlight will shine on ten prominent local figures who will showcase their dancing talents. This year’s lineup includes:

- Molly Casey, Miss Grand Junction
- Juli Jacobson, a host for Grand Junction Lifestyle
- Amy Miller from the Fruita City Chamber
- Christ Reece of the Christi Reece Group
- Cody Kennedy, a member of GJ City Council
- Mesa County Sheriff Todd Rowell
- Doug Simons Senior, President of Enstrom’s Candies Inc
- Ken Watkins, Executive Director of the Colorado State Fire Chiefs Association and former Grand Junction Fire Chief
- Tim Wenger, a travel and conservation journalist, and the husband of the Food Bank’s Executive Director
Each participant will work alongside professional dance instructors to perform a unique piece. Community members will get involved by voting for their favorite performances, with the winner receiving the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.
