Join Us for Climate Adaptation 2025: WA’s Key State Government Event on Future Resilience

Climate Adaptation 2025 is making its debut in Perth from July 23-25. This event, hosted by the National Environmental Science Program’s Climate Systems Hub, will bring together experts, practitioners, and policymakers focused on climate adaptation.

Don Punch, the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Water, Climate Resilience, and South West, will present a key address. He’ll discuss Western Australia’s Climate Adaptation Strategy, which aims to make communities, the environment, and the economy more resilient to climate change.

“Climate adaptation is a shared responsibility,” Mr. Punch emphasizes. “It requires everyone—government, sectors, and communities—to work together.” He notes the strategy draws from Aboriginal consultations and real experiences of those facing climate impacts.

WA Energy and Decarbonisation Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson said the conference is a great chance to learn from top researchers. She stressed the importance of the Cook Government’s role in supporting the transition to clean energy and helping sectors reach decarbonisation goals.
